Contemporary Fireplace Design

Contemporary fireplace designs come in a variety of styles. Some look very similar to standard fireplaces, while others may look completely different. Contemporary fireplaces may not look right in every room, especially those that are decorated in a more traditional manner.

Another interesting type of contemporary fireplace design harkens back to the old wood burning stoves. These fireplaces are set up on four legs and are usually square or trapezoid shaped. This classic design has been made as sleek and smooth as possible, bringing a very modern and minimalist look to a classic design.

Finally, you can actually find a contemporary fireplace that features an oven above it. These fireplaces look almost like refrigerators, only they feature a fireplace in the lower half and an oven in the upper half. If you’re looking to make brick oven pizza or bake a lot of great tasting food without using your standard oven, this type of fireplace is very useful. It’s also a great option for making dinner if you lose electricity for an extended period of time.
